Update Aura securely
Install the current signed Aura release without losing your projects or account settings.
Use this guide with Aura
Open Aura, then keep this guide beside it while you follow the steps. Aura does not receive the page text, your account, your project, or anything you typed.
If nothing opens, start Aura normally. The written steps still work.
Before you start
- Aura AI is already installed.
- An update is available in Aura or on the authenticated download page.
Plan and model funding
Updating Aura does not charge a subscription, wallet, or model provider.

No prompt is required.
Steps

Use Aura's update notice or the authenticated dashboard download.
What you should see: Aura identifies the available version and trusted publisher path.

Close active engine work and let the installer replace Aura program files.
What you should see: The signed installer completes without asking for model keys.

Launch Aura and open Settings.
What you should see: The new version appears and your account/project list remains available.

Open one existing project and run a safe read-only question.
What you should see: The hub and plugin reconnect successfully.
What Aura may change
Aura program files and bundled engine integrations are updated. User projects are not replaced.
How to verify it worked
Confirm the installed version, sign-in state, project connection, and one safe request.
Undo or recover
If the update fails, keep the previous signed installer until the new release is verified; do not install an unsigned file from an untrusted source.
Common problems
- If Windows does not show Aura's expected publisher, cancel the installer.
- If an engine was open during update, restart it so the updated plugin can load.
