Review differences between the project and its design

Let Aura compare recorded project work with the GDD, then approve only the updates that are still true.

Use this guide with Aura

Open Aura, then keep this guide beside it while you follow the steps. Aura does not receive the page text, your account, your project, or anything you typed.

Open Aura

If nothing opens, start Aura normally. The written steps still work.

Before you start

  • The project has a saved GDD.
  • Aura has current context for the selected project.

Plan and model funding

Asking Aura to draft wording uses the funding source shown in Aura. Checking, editing, removing, and applying visible updates use the controls shown in the GDD panel.

Say this in ordinary language

Check whether this project has changed since the GDD was written. Show me the differences, but do not update the GDD yet.

Steps

  1. 1
Open Game Design Document and choose Check for updates.

What you should see: Aura checks the selected project and either reports no updates or opens a review list.

  2. 2
Read every suggested addition, change, and removal.

What you should see: Each finding is editable and can be removed before anything is applied.

  3. 3
If the project changed after the check, choose Check again.

What you should see: Aura replaces the stale review instead of applying it to a different project state.

  4. 4
Choose Apply confirmed updates only after the remaining wording is correct.

What you should see: Aura applies only the visible approved items and confirms the GDD update.

What Aura may change

Only the approved GDD wording changes. The check does not silently alter project files.

How to verify it worked

Reopen the GDD and confirm the approved update appears while removed suggestions do not.

Undo or recover

Dismiss the review without applying it, remove individual findings, or edit the GDD back to the intended wording.

Common problems

  • If Aura cannot check the project, confirm the correct project and Hub connection.
  • Never apply a stale review after changing the project; choose Check again first.
